The difference

What makes Boldcaster different

Two things stand out, because no competitor offers them: importing everything in one go, and everything being connected. Plus four areas where we are clearly ahead.

Bold AI Import: paste in your whole plan at once

Paste in a transcript, your OPSP or your strategy as text, and your OKRs, Rocks and KPIs appear straight away. With Ninety, EOS One, Bloom Growth and Align you fill in every template by hand, one item at a time.

Everything is connected

Strategy, KPIs, Rocks, people and rhythm all fit together. Change your strategy and your KPIs, Rocks and reviews follow. In the other tools they are separate modules.

Layered KPI tree, linked to processes and people

Process KPIs, outcome KPIs and driver KPIs in one tree, each with a named owner. A traffic light shows you early who is at risk of falling behind.

Automatic A/B/C/D player scores

Based on data rather than gut feel. An honest view of your team, without awkward conversations to bring it into the open.

Audit and company valuation built in

No competitor measures your stage, product-market fit and company value. Boldcaster does, and helps you manage for value as well as revenue.

Dutch support for the tool and the content

The only option that runs in Dutch and keeps your data in the EU. We help with the tool and the content, and we come to see you when needed.

Per tool

A short summary of each competitor, with a link to the source.

Boldcaster

The operating system for your scale-up. Strategy, KPIs per person, Rocks, people and rhythm, plus a built-in audit, company valuation and AI coach. Build a company that runs without you.

Who it's for

Dutch and EU scale-ups with roughly 10 to 50 people that want to escape the founder trap.

Price

Bold 10 €150, Bold 30 €450, Bold 50 €650 per month, with a step for every ten people. Bold One €0 is coming soon, Bold Custom on request. All features included, nothing locked behind tiers. Start free with four weeks of full access.

Migration

Paste in your existing strategy or OPSP as text and Bold AI Import turns it into a living canvas in one go. No filling in field by field. You start with what you already have, not a blank page.

Onboarding

Guided onboarding, led by the audit. The system does the structural work. A coach is optional.

Action platform

The only one that really takes on the work of an operations manager. KPIs per person with a traffic light, early warnings about who is at risk of falling behind, and a steady rhythm. The others are places to keep records.

Audit and valuation

Built in, and no competitor offers it. Helps you manage on stage, product-market fit and company value, as well as revenue.

Strong

The only Dutch-language, EU-hosted option. Audit and valuation built in. AI throughout. Lighter, with fewer meetings. Migrate in one go with Bold AI Import. No feature tiers.

Honest weaknesses

Younger and smaller than the established EOS players, with no 800-strong implementer network (yet).

Best for

Dutch or EU scale-ups that want direction and calm without a heavy meeting culture or an expensive consultant, and that want to manage for value as well as revenue.

Ninety.io

Well-known EOS software with a 90 x EOS partnership.

Price

Free $0, Essentials $12, Accelerate $14, Thrive $16 per user per month. Feature-gated. (last checked 13 June 2026)

Onboarding

Implement it yourself (read Traction and What the Heck is EOS, appoint a champion) or hire an EOS Implementer. Templates and a knowledge portal.

Review

G2 4.7 out of 5 from around 93 reviews, mostly small businesses. Strengths: easy to use, keeps meetings organised, scorecard, keen price, good support. Weaknesses: can lag during live meetings, steep learning curve without EOS knowledge, licensing and billing hassle.

Best for

Teams that want to run EOS strictly by the book, in English, backed by a large user base and implementer network.

EOS One

The official EOS software, built by EOS Worldwide (280k+ EOS companies).

Price

First user free, then per seat with the full toolset. No feature tiers, no minimum, no contract. 30-day trial. (last checked 13 June 2026)

Features

V/TO, Accountability Chart, Scorecard, Rocks, Meeting Pulse.

Onboarding

Self-service, set up in minutes, no training needed, plus webinars and documentation.

Honest

On giving everyone everything, it does well, and the official stamp carries weight. English-language, US-based, EOS doctrine.

Best for

EOS purists who want the official tool, simple and not feature-gated.

Bloom Growth (formerly Traction Tools)

EOS software, originally Traction Tools.

Price

Bloom Core $299 per month (25 users included, then +$5 per person), Bloom Accelerate $499 per month, Bloom Scale on request. (last checked 13 June 2026)

Features

Automatic meeting agendas, accountability charts, notes, data visualisation, real-time updates, context-aware issues.

Review

Praised for meetings, agendas and support, and described as very easy and reliable. Weaknesses: weaker reporting and little scope to roll quarterly reviews up into annual reviews.

Best for

EOS teams that want to run tight weekly meetings.

Align

Software around Scaling Up and the Rockefeller Habits, OKR-oriented.

Price

On request. (last checked 13 June 2026)

Features

4D overviews, alignment checklist, task and priority management, polling, dashboards.

Review

Well reviewed on G2, easy to use, scales across teams. Works best if you know Verne Harnish's Scaling Up.

Best for

Teams that run Scaling Up and OKRs and want to manage closely against them.

Related categories

If you are wondering whether a pure OKR tool or a project tool might also do the job:

OKR tools (such as Quantive)

In-depth OKR features, often aimed at enterprises with pricing on request. Strong at cascading OKRs, but not a full operating system (no strategy canvas, people layer or valuation).

Project tools (Asana, Monday, ClickUp)

Excellent for tasks and projects. But they are empty containers: they organise work, they don't run your company. See Boldcaster vs Asana, Monday and ClickUp.

"In my years as a consultant I never saw Scaling Up or EOS fully take hold. The strategy was fine, but day-to-day execution fell apart, and it always relied on an expensive consultant and manual dashboards. So I built Boldcaster. It keeps the method and closes the gap every method falls into: execution. In this comparison I also say where the others are stronger. You deserve a real choice, and a sales pitch doesn't give you one."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best EOS alternative in the Netherlands?+

For Dutch scale-ups, Boldcaster is the only Dutch-language, EU-hosted operating system with a built-in audit and company valuation. The EOS tools (Ninety, EOS One, Bloom Growth) are English-language and US-hosted.

Can I bring over my existing Scaling Up or EOS plan?+

Yes, and only Boldcaster lets you do this. With Bold AI Import you paste in a transcript, your OPSP or your strategy as text, and your OKRs, Rocks and KPIs appear in one go. With the EOS tools you fill in every template by hand. There is no need to relearn the method: you simply move across what you already have.

How does it differ from Ninety, EOS One, Bloom Growth and Align?+

Those tools are a system of record: they store your strategy and KPIs, and you keep them up to date and do the managing. Boldcaster is an action platform: it takes on the work of an operations manager, flags early who is falling behind and keeps the rhythm going. In Boldcaster everything is connected; in the others they are separate modules.

How is this different from Asana, Monday or ClickUp?+

Those are project tools: empty containers that organise work but don't run your company. No strategy, no KPIs per person, no audit or valuation. See our article Boldcaster vs Asana, Monday and ClickUp.

Do I need a coach?+

With the EOS and Scaling Up tools, usually yes, or you read the books yourself. With Boldcaster the system does the structural work, so a coach is optional. If you want one, we'll introduce you to a coach from our network. You also get Dutch support for both the tool and the content, and we come to see you when needed.

So should I have more meetings or fewer?+

Fewer. The EOS approach relies on a heavy meeting rhythm. Boldcaster makes progress visible, so most status meetings are no longer needed. You keep the ones that really matter.

What does it cost, and can I try it?+

Boldcaster: Bold 10 €150, Bold 30 €450, Bold 50 €650 per month (up to 10, 30 and 50 people, with a step for every ten people), everything included. Bold One €0 is coming soon. Create an account and get four weeks of full access free. Ninety from $12 per user per month, Bloom Growth from $149 per month, EOS One first user free then per seat, Align on request.

Where is my data stored?+

With Boldcaster, in the EU, security first. The EOS tools are hosted in the US.

Does Boldcaster also do Rocks and OKRs?+

Both. Plus a layered KPI tree (process, outcome KPI, driver KPI) with an owner for each KPI, and automatic A/B/C/D player scores based on data.
