EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)
EOS stands for Entrepreneurial Operating System, a management method created by Gino Wickman and made well known through his 2007 book Traction. The method strengthens a company along six components: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction. The idea is that you move from chaotic to coordinated once you get these six in order.
EOS provides concrete tools. Rocks are quarterly goals, the Level 10 Meeting is the weekly meeting, the Scorecard tracks weekly numbers, and the Accountability Chart captures who is responsible for what. It is deliberately kept simple and intended for companies of roughly 10 to 250 employees.
EOS is strong at bringing calm and rhythm, but it is a framework and not an execution machine. It prescribes how you meet and prioritize, but the day-to-day execution in between remains human work. Software that follows EOS strictly, such as Ninety.io, often gets criticized for being rigid.
