Bold Custom

We build the software your business needs.

Not every problem fits an off-the-shelf package. A property platform, a CRM built around your own process, an ERP that calculates the way you do. We understand scale-ups, we build the software, and we connect it to Boldcaster where that helps.

Why us

We build what you need, not just what you ask for.

Most custom projects fail on the brief rather than the technology. What was said in the first meeting gets built, and only at delivery does it turn out the real problem was elsewhere. So we start by understanding before we build: how you make money, where things get stuck and what that costs you.

It's the same lens we use when working with founders, only this time the result is software. Instead of a developer waiting for tickets, you get someone who pushes back when a feature costs more than it delivers.

Who it's for

For scale-ups outgrowing their spreadsheets.

Your process fits no package

You've tried three packages and you're still half in Excel, because none of them does what you do.

The work is in the gaps

The systems are there, but someone retypes data from one to the other every week.

The software is the product

You make your money from the platform itself, so building it is your business, not a cost.

How it works

From conversation to working software.

1
Discovery

Conversations with the people who'll actually use it. What they do now, where things get stuck, and what needs to change. Half the wish list often goes at this stage, and that's a win.

2
PRD and data model

In black and white: what gets built, how the data fits together, and what's deliberately left out. It's the document we both rely on when things get busy later.

3
Backlog, roadmap and estimate

Everything broken into chunks, each with a price. You see what the first working version costs and what could come next.

4
Prototype

A clickable version your colleagues can walk through before a single line of production code is written. Changes take hours here and weeks later on.

5
Building in sprints

Working software in short cycles, each one something you can try. You see week by week where the money goes.

And it connects to Boldcaster where that helps.

If you already use Boldcaster, your custom software doesn't have to be an island. Figures from your own platform can show up as KPIs on your scoreboard, giving you one picture instead of two systems. If you don't use Boldcaster, we simply build it standalone. It's not a requirement.

Upgrado
Vastgoed · aankoop, renovatie en verkoop

From gut feeling to a gate that can say no

Upgrado buys properties, renovates them and sells them on. Every property raises the same question: what's the most I can pay for this? The answer lived in a spreadsheet rebuilt for every project, and in the owner's head. We turned the sum around. Instead of entering a bid to see what margin comes out, you set your threshold and the system works back to the maximum you can offer. If a deal doesn't clear that threshold, the gate says so and tells you why.

Sales by Ketan
Groothandel · winkels, horeca en gemakszaken

From visit to invoice, with no paperwork in between

Sales by Ketan is a wholesaler supplying shops, cafés, restaurants and convenience stores in Utrecht. Ketan does everything himself: he visits with a range picked to suit each shop, puts the quote together, delivers and invoices. That's why a business like this gets bogged down in paperwork: every step depends on one person and whatever he has on him at the time. We built the system that holds the whole chain. He puts together a quote per customer with a price per product, the customer approves it online in one click, and delivery follows with a delivery note and an invoice on fourteen-day terms. No subscription and no minimum order, so every order is different; the system is built for exactly that.

What it costs

A project price, not a subscription.

The cost depends on what it needs to do, and we only know that after discovery. So every project starts there: you get a PRD, a backlog and an estimate, and only then do you decide whether to go ahead. If you do, we credit that first step.

Tell us what you want to build.

Half an hour is enough to work out whether this needs a custom build or whether an existing product would serve you better. If it's the latter, we'll tell you.
